In recent years, crises such as natural disaster, epidemics, social and economic upheaval, political instability and protracted armed conflict have caused dramatic displacement and the disruption of thousands of lives. Although not a primary area of intervention, AVSI works to help communities face these challenges, building on an established presence, including strong relationships and familiarity with the context.
