Education, Child Development and Family Support PDF Print E-mail

Education is the underlying objective of all AVSI projects, and direct provision and support for education and child development comprise a large portion of AVSI activities in the field. Beyond formal education, child development projects also extend into family support services. More than 50.000 children and adolescents benefit from AVSI's projects.

1 Educational support for children in distressed conditions, with limited access to school, and those at risk of dropping out of school.

All of these projects seek to involve children's families, who, although often shattered or disrupted, have an evident need for solidarity. In most cases, the open minds and dedication of project volunteers and staff help parents regain an awareness of and confidence in their roles and responsibilities.
